Podium documentation

Podium, the performance manager, is an online solution for collection, presentation and analysis of results and rankings.

Podium can be used as a:

  1. Monitoring system: Monitor not only your own athletes, but also keep track of competition.
  2. Decision support system: Support higher management policy making and funding decisions.
  3. Communication support system: Communicate information internally and externally.

By using Podium you can experience new views on sports results in order to compare your country against competitive countries, to monitor your athletes' performances and to identify upcoming talents. Podium will save you a lot of time and money by taking away an extensive amount of data gathering and having available, ready-to-use analysis functionality.

At the moment Podium is being used by seven of the top-15 Olympic nations to assist for their sports policy as well as to help with performance analysis.

Podium has been built using the Qlikview software and can be used online 24/7 from any place in the world with an internet connection. The data of the application is being refreshed twice a day so you will always be up-to-date with the most recent sports results and analyses. Podium also has the option to extract all data to Excel where you can continue your work.

  • Who has more winter sport World Cup Podiums since the 2010/2011 season: Austria or Norway?
  • Have the 2014 Sochi Games been Netherlands' best Olympic Winter Games ever in terms of top 8 positions?
